Well, I've got a lot further..... I managed to sort out the partitions and
now have Linux loaded. I gave up on using the Caldera "Lizard" install and
used LISA which I found much easier and a lot more informative! I also went
out and bought the Slackware Linux 3.5 book which has proved to be very
useful. The Caldera manual is a bit Windozes in that it expects all will be
well and work using the Lizard install. It doesn't give very much help if
all does not go well.
So I can now get myself around a bit more but I'm still battling with
XF86Setup. The version I have is 3.3.3.1-3. When I run startx I get a
black screen for a few moments and then I'm back to the prompt. Is there a
later version?
