| 1. Do ThinkPads come with all of their RAM slots filled, or can I
| buy a 32MB upgrade and be able to use it to to boost the system's
| memory to 64MB?
The User's Reference for your TP is at
http://www.pc.ibm.com/qtechinfo/MIGR-4CGM3G.html. It says:
Different capacities of DIMM are available. You can install DIMMs
directly in the memory slots on the bottom of the computer. Your
computer memory capacity can be expanded up to 256 MB (two 128
MB DIMM options).
Note: Base memory (32 MB or 64 MB) occupies one DIMM slot.
| 2. I'm looking for a case to carry the system with.
I don't know anything about the bags you're talking about. However,
I have always heard that Port makes the best bags in terms of
protection. However, Ports are heavy. (I have one for my 770Z.)

| 3. Finally, a Linux question. I want to install Linux and I have been
| doing some research on the different distributions.
You're probably best off with Redhat. It's the most popular (in the US)
so you'll have the easiest time finding help if you have problems.
