I've just installed Mandrake 6.1 on my tp600e & Installed Lilo on /dev/hda2
no problems at all with that. Slackware 4 I haven't used but it shouldn't
be a problem.

I do find though that I cannot toggle the screen resolutions?

You might have this problem. Do you know the keys todo the toggling?
