[ltp] problems with ppp on 770Z

Ok, I'm having trouble with a dialup connection in RH 6, using a pcmicia (a 3Com
Megahertz 3CCFEM556B) modem/ethernet card. I can dialup my ISP, and kppp says I'm
connected, but when I try to telnet somewhere, it'll say trying <IP address> and
then just come back with a no route to host error. Any ideas how I could fix this?
It works fine when I'm on the LAN at work.
