[ltp] Lilo nuttiness

I'm attempting to run Debian Linux on my Thinkpad 385CD and have bumped
into a strange problem. Lilo does not wish to boot my machine. It starts
uncompressing the kernel, and then chokes, rebooting the system. I can
however get into the system buy booting to win95 and running loadlin. Any
one run into this before or know a fix off hand?

385cd is
16 meg ram
2.1 gig hd 
cdrom
and 16bit Audio
