[ltp] Kernel panics

Ok,
The software that's running is stock slackware 4.0 except the kernel was
upgraded from 2.2.6 to 2.2.13 and the latest pcmcia card services were also
re-compiled with the new kernel. Per SIGELF... I haven't seen that anywhere and
I don't remember seeing any error or warning messages when compiling the kernel.
I've seen the laptop lose kswapd while I'm using it with the cover open or when
I'm telnetting in with the cover down. It's not a thermal problem, AFAIK. It's
seemed to work ok when using the stock 2.2.6 kernel and original card services.

/var/log/messages doesn't have any errors logged here. The most recent boot
looks like:

/proc/bus/pci/devices is zero bytes
/proc/bus/pci/00/* are all binary files.
/proc/pci isn't supported by by my current kernel. I'll compile that in.

/proc/nvram doesn't exist. I just checked /usr/src/linux/.config and it looks
like I didn't include that support. I'll compile that in and include that on
Monday or Tuesday.

/proc/cpuinfo is:

Might be a thermic problem... does this happen if the box is idle all the
time?

If you compile do you get errors like SIGELF? (That would be a
RAM-Problem) Or does the box simply die like this (kernel panic)?

Can you send me all info about the 760el incl. /proc/pci, /proc/nvram and
/proc/cpuinfo - did you check /var/log/messages for the panic-dump?
(please send me a copy of that too)

/matthi.
