[ltp] Thinkpad i Series

Hi

Bought 1161 -267 of i Series last week
so here I am now trying to get all out of it with linux

I got graphics working like a charm with Caldera eDesktop, i got PCMCIA
working also
with my network adapter in it..

but: i've gut 2 more problems.. and 1 of them is actually serious

i can get console picture up with no problem and all the virtual consoles
work also
but on a minute i fire up XFree, i can't see no virtual consoles anymore,
and what's worse
after trying to change to any of virual consoles, i can't get the XFree
picture back either.
Everything seems to work under the blank screen (i can log in on any of
consoles and execute commands like reboot from there) but i can's see a
thing.

second problem is sound:
has anyone at all got it working (CS4229 chipset)??

If anyone has faced this problem before i'd like to know the solution :)
