[ltp] X11 is slugish

I had this problem a couple of days ago, I felt the desktop had been
very slow lately, blamed E/Gnome as usual but then I checked
/proc/cpuinfo and saw it was in low speed. I'm mostly on AC so I don't
know how it happened, but I used the DOS PS2 SPEED option to set it to
FIXED MAX. After this my TP380 is like new again :-)

Here's the options from ps2 if anyone find it useful to try:

C:\DOS\UTILITY>ps2 ? speed

Command Syntax : PS2 SPeed Fixed MAX|Medium|Slow [AC|DC]
                              Auto Medium|Slow [AC|DC]
Current State :
High power mode : Fixed MAX
Auto power mode : Auto Slow
Customized power mode : Fixed MAX
Description : Select one of the processor speeds from the list:

                        1. Fixed MAX (Highest Performance)
                        2. Auto Medium
                        3. Auto Slow
                        4. Fixed Medium
                        5. Fixed Slow

Specify AC when you change the processor speed for an
AC
                 operation.
Specify DC when you change the processor speed for a
battery
                 operation.
When you do not specify [AC|DC] option, the current
power
                 source(AC or Battery) is selected.

C:\DOS\UTILITY>
