Hi,
I think your are make a mistake in your lilo.conf, the good sentence is:
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
append="mem=227M"
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.13-7mdk
label=linux
root=/dev/hda1
read-only
Hi all,
I'm running Mandrake Linux 6.5 (essentially RH 6.0)
on a thinkpad 600. I have 228M of memory installed.
I can see the RAM if I manually type "linux mem=227M"
at the boot prompt. All the docs I have read say that
you can enter an "append" command in the lilo.conf
file so the RAM can be seen automatically. Unfortunately,
none of these docs (or books) give an example.
I have tried several permutations without success.
Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
Here's my lilo.conf (last change)
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.13-7mdk
label=linux
root=/dev/hda1
read-only
append="mem=227M"
Best regards
