[ltp] Slackware and 755C

While on the subject of laptops, I have an IBM Thinkpad 755C.  Got it cheap
and it has no CDROM drive.  My coworkers and I managed to get Slackware on
it, but when going into XWindows, the screen blanks out on any video
refresh.  You move the mouse and it displays the screen, until the next
update to the screen (such as opening an app).  Any ideas on what could be
the problem????
