Hi,
i have tried RH 6.2. It works out of the box .....
The only Thing to do is to append "mem= ...k" if you are over 64MB of
RAM. And some small Problems with sound, but after loading the cs4232
Module twice it works.
The main Problem is that only Kernels above 2.2.14 recognize the Disk
correct. But working with RH 6.2 , everything works fine.
For Full APM Support you need to recompile your Kernel with the Options
mentioned on the Thinkpad Linux Site on www.pc.ibm.com

KH-> I have experienced exactly the same thing on the same model of Thinkpad
KH-> with the same size disk (it's a Travelstar) only with RedHat 6.1.
KH-> I had used Partition Magic 5.0 to try to set up the partitions so I was
KH-> wondering whether it might have written a partition table that neither
KH-> Disk Druid nor fdisk could read, but perhaps PM is blameless. I've
KH-> also upgraded the BIOS to the latest, and I've tried giving it the disk
KH-> geometry both in the above form and in LBA format (as reported by
KH-> Partition Magic), all to no avail. I've ordered RH 6.2 in the hope it
KH-> may magically work and I also downloaded, but haven't yet tried, a
KH-> program called "fixdisktable" which claims to fix up broken partition
KH-> tables. Does anybody know whether this is the right approach (newer RH,
KH-> fixdisktable) or is there something else I should try?
