[ltp] Experience from updating RH 6.2 to RH 7.0 on TP 770X

Hi:

Has anyone tried Mandrake 7.2 yet on a 770ED? It is a RH 7.0 base, I
believe.

On another matter:

I just intalled 7.1, not 7.2 yet, and I am using KDE for the first time
ever (I was running RH 5.2 with fvwm2).

KDE seems a bit slow, especially switching virtual desktops, and I
haven't got sound working.

"set -o vi" isn't working in any of the terminals under KDE, and I
haven't figured out why yet. But other than that, it's a very nice
release for TP 770ED. Pretty much everything other than the above have
worked without any configuration on my part. I first for me!

If anyone has any suggestions about getting sound and "set -o vi"
working, please email me.
Also, any ideas on speeding up KDE would be most helpful.

I sure could use a better faq on getting the updates installed, but
other than that, it is a really nice release.

Regards,
Maureen
