I also have a 770 and a docking station. As far as I can remember I had
to boot with my DOS disk and use PS2.exe to switch an interrupt assignment
for the "ThinkPad UltraBay" to the Docking station. Since then I can do a
cold
dock, fire up the system and then modprobe the scsi card when I need an
external
SCSI device (Tape,CR-RW,Scanner).
