W2K is more likely to be satisfactory than NT. My T20 requires a W2K video
driver from the IBM web site and the SVGA server of Aug. 20 or later for
RH6.2. The alsa sound driver requires APM to be disabled, so I can't use
that, and AFAIK the LT Winmodem is not satisfactory under linux. It might
be more satisfactory to buy the linux model and install 2K. My T20 is the
2K configuration, although it came with W98 only. I must run triple boot
until my employer completes conversion to 2K. There is an update due from
IBM to make the BIOS compatible with W98 (!) and supply a noise shield in
hopes of making the LT modem do better than 24k.
