[ltp] Hot swapping on T21 using hdparm?

Has anyone succeeded in hot-swapping (or warm-swapping)
harddrives in the T21 UltraBay?

I have no problems warm-swapping my CD and my Floppy if
I first suspend the machine. I have tried hdparm -U and
hdparm -R, but can't seem to get it working.
