I think the problem is with your hdparm settings.
>From the output - you have DMA enabled, which makes things mad. The OS
then disabled your DMA settings.
This is my guess, since I saw the same problems before on my A21. When you
run hdparm, don't set the DMA = ON.
Then watch your syslog files. You should get a 1:1 correllation between
the DMA settings and your errors.
