[ltp] XFree4.0.2 and Silicon Motion

Dear list,

after an orgy of apt-gets and other nightmares I finally installed
XFree4.0.2 on my ThinkPad i1200 hoping that I could get a decent windowing
system what with the new drivers for that chipset.

It works but only kind of. I get drawing errors after moving windows or
just scrolling in them. That kind of looks nice but I suppose I couldn't
get any work done.

Has anyone experienced similar problems and if so how did they solve them
(if they did at all).
