[ltp] Sound card issues, T21...

Hello all--
I've been looking through the archives of this list, but haven't
found anything about this problem, maybe someone can help me.
I have a ThinkPad T21, and have been more than happy, even though
a couple things have bothered me. One is the sound. The sound card
installs okay, using the cs46xx module, but there are a few problems that
keep popping up. Many of the sounds are very quiet and run through very
quickly. The DVD-ROM drive's sound, when playing music from XMMS, doesn't
happen at all and MP3s only work, if I use alsa (which doesn't actually
help with the other two problems....)...I'm using a self-built/self
compiled system with Debian at its base.
I'm not sure, if this means anything, since, in most cases PCI
shares IRQs, but when I cat /proc/pci, I have one of my pcmcia slots and
sound card using the same irq.
Any help on how to, maybe, configure this driver, so it'd do what
I want will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Andrius:)
