[ltp] 240 video slowness

ah.  it apears you're right.   to get X to run _at_ _all_ i had to add

Option "nolinear"

which i belive disables hardware accel.  if i don't do that, the machine
just seems to hang, but i can still ssh in, and i find X using 99.9999%
of my cpu, and nothing will display, i can't switch to another term, or
kill x, because it's not started.   on the upside, i can still issue init
6 so i don't have to fsck this thing a lot.

xfree's docs has somthing regarding

says "On some laptops using the 2160 chipset (MagicGraph 128XD) the
following options are needed to avoid a lock-up of the graphic engine:

Option "XaaNoScanlineImageWriteRect"
    Option "XaaNoScanlineCPUToScreenColorExpandFill"
"

and i added these things, commented out the nolinear option, and it does
the same locking as before.

does anyone out there have a working xfree 4 config file for a 240?

or any other ideas?
