[ltp] newbie: what's the best distribution for ThinkPad 600E?

Actually, I was using 0.5.11 and getting that problem. The problem appears
to be with gcc on Redhat 7.1. I changed $CPP to kgcc and recompiled Alsa
0.5.11, and it is now working.
