For my TP T20, I had to move to a 2.4.4 kernel with PS/2 support compiled
in. I had to use this kernel version because of a PCMCIA TokenRing problem
but 2.4.2 and 2.4.5 were good also for trackpoint detection. I heard that
the trackpoint detection failure was due to a special patch from Mandrake.
A fresh new compiled 2.4.3 kernel might also be good ....

Subject: [ltp] TP770ED, Mdk 8.0 and kernel configuration, mouse
Installed Mandrake 8.0 (painfully without the mouse) on TP770ED.
To what should I pay attention in the kernel compilation configuration for
enabling the mouse?
Is there an optimal kernel 2.4.3 (or 2.4.4) configuration file (or
directives) to be used for the compilation of the kernel?
IBM: any support/help in this sense?
