[ltp] [slightly OT] windows+linux coexistence

Hi,
I can't be sure if what I did would work specifically with a 760 (since
I've no personal experience with them) but, reading the information on
the Disk Manager software (available on the IBM web site referenced in
my writeup), my guess would be yes. There are several different BIOS
limitations on disk size, depending on the age of the BIOS and the
prevailing disk sizes at the time. The Disk Manager software gets
around all of these according to the write up on it. So I would think
that it would be worth a try.
Also note, apropos the topic of this mailing list, that Linux, in
general, works fine with the larger disks without any modifications. It
is only if you want to have Windows work as well that you have to worry
about the BIOS limitations since Windows uses the BIOS to do disk I/O.
At least that is my experience. YMMV.
Good luck,
Scott
