Hello linux-thinkpad,
I just purchased an A21p. It came with Win2K and a modem-only module.
I would like to hook this up to networks, so plan to purchase (soon)
one of the combination modem/Ethernet modules. I understand that there
are more than one of these, made by different manufacturers (Intel,
3Com, and Lucent?).
I have been using RedHat 6.2 on my 770ED with reasonable success, and
plan to continue using it with the A21p, unless forced by this to
something else.
Has anyone a definative statement as to whether any of these can
operate under Linux, both modem and network functions? If so, which of
them? With what additional driver software, if any? With which
version(s) of Linux, if any in particular are required?
Thanks! Ron.
