Yes, I posted some problems with SuSE 7.1 on a TP 600. My problems were
related to the XFree-4.0.2 that is packaged on SuSE 7.1. I could not get
VMware running on it becuase somehow the Xserver was screwed up.
I did some more invtesigations and it turned out that I could not switch
from X to any console and I could not even terminate X and get the
console back.
Somebody (I believe it was Markus Alt) commented from a similar
situation where it turned out that the 'Fn-F7' was set to drive both,
the LCD and the external monitor when X was started and he said that
this caused the problem. I have not been able to verify this because the
machine in question is a friend's machine and he's been out of town
since a while.
Other than this problem I have no other feedback on using SuSE 7.1 so
far. If I'd install SuSE 7.1 again, I would probably select the
XFree-3.3.6 and not mess with the 4.0.2.
