[ltp] resolving IRQ conflicts on my 570E

Hey guys,
So I have RH 7.1 running on my Thinkpad 570E, out of the box and
working very nicely indeed :-) However, I have run into this problem
where a number of drivers have a fixation for IRQ 11.
* I have a Lucent Winmodem for which I compiled the drivers. It works
well and uses IRQ 11 on my machine.
* I used to have USB turned on but since the modem is more important to
me and since they both seemed to be using IRQ 11, I turned it off
* Now is the turn of PCMCIA :) It insists that the 2 bridges that
exist, are both on IRQ 11 and since I am going to start using an
Ethernet card soon through PCMCIA, I need to solve this problem of so
many devices wanting to share IRQ 11 !
Here's /proc/interrupts :
CPU0
0: 436383 XT-PIC timer
1: 20523 XT-PIC keyboard
2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
8: 1 XT-PIC rtc
11: 430651 XT-PIC Texas Instruments PCI1450, Texas Instruments PCI1450 (#2), ltserial
12: 46514 XT-PIC PS/2 Mouse
14: 44543 XT-PIC ide0
NMI: 0
ERR: 0
So as you can see, we have a lot of sharing there :-) This is with USB
turned off.
lspci gives me :
00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 440BX/ZX - 82443BX/ZX Host bridge (rev 03)
00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 440BX/ZX - 82443BX/ZX AGP bridge (rev 03)
00:02.0 CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PCI1450 (rev 03)
00:02.1 CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PCI1450 (rev 03)
00:05.0 Multimedia audio controller: Cirrus Logic CS 4614/22/24 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator] (rev 01)
00:06.0 Bridge: Intel Corporation 82371AB PIIX4 ISA (rev 02)
00:06.1 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82371AB PIIX4 IDE (rev 01)
00:06.2 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82371AB PIIX4 USB (rev 01)
00:06.3 Bridge: Intel Corporation 82371AB PIIX4 ACPI (rev 03)
00:07.0 Communication controller: Lucent Microelectronics WinModem 56k (rev 01)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Neomagic Corporation [MagicMedia 256AV] (rev 20)
So what I want to know is how I can make my modem, PCMCIA bridges and
USB, all co-exist and not have to share IRQ 11 like this :-) The thing
is that soon I am going to start using a PCMCIA Ethernet card.
Alternatively, tell me the current setup is okay and I will be happy
:-)
Regards,
Ravi
