Pine/Pico aren't "free enough" for Debian (or me either). Use GNU Nano
(http://www.nano-editor.org/) instead. It is a perfect drop in replacement for
Pico and is GPL. Set up a link from pico -> nano and don't look at the upper
left four characters on your screen and you'll never know the difference! (I
wonder if I could hack nano to display the name by which it is called in the
upper left . . .)
I think Mutt has a "Pinealike" mode, but I never figured it out.
