[ltp] tp 770z crystal cs4610

i have mandrake 8.1 and when i install it, it correctly sees the cs4610/11
audio chip,  when i newly compile the alsa drivers and try to load all the
modules i get the following:

snd: cs461x: hack for Thinkpad 600E
(unsupported) enabled
snd: cs461x: create - never read codec
ready from AC'97
snd: cs461x: it is not probably bug, try
to use CS4236 driver
snd: cs461x: AC'97 write problem, reg =
0x26, val = 0x300
snd: Sound Fusion CS461x soundcard #1 not
found or device busy

insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.13/misc/snd-card-cs461x.o: init_module: No such
device

any hints/tips/flying paranormal acts of genius/ ???
