[ltp] thinkpad.o fails to load

Hi,

I'm  trying to use tpctl on my TP600.  But I'm running into trouble
loading the thinkpad.o module.  I use linux kernel 2.4.10 on a Debian
woody installation (with tpctl-source 0.8.1-5).
When I try to run 'insmod thinkpad.o', I get something like:
  ...thinkpad.o: unresolved symbol get_module_symbol
  ...thinkpad.o: Note: modules without a GPL compatible license cannot
use GPLONLY_ symbols.

Not what do i do to get tpctl working?
