hi there.

i recently picked up a used thinkpad 560z. i'm quite happy with it,
but i'd really like to be able to put it into hibernation. i've tried
this with tpctl --H, but all i get is a message telling me that the
'smapi bios: system is incompatible' or something to that effect.
i've tried this several ways: with a thinkpad hibernation partition,
with a stitched together hibernation file from someone else's
computer, with an empty dos partition. using an ms product isn't an
option -- there are none available. since the error messages haven't
been given me much a clue, could someone set me on the right path.

thanks in advance,

g.y.
