[ltp] Display issues - 760XL

Excellent, both of you.  I'll try your suggestions and report back to
the list.  [I was expecting today to be a lot busier at work than it
actually has been, so I left the laptop at home...]

BTW, according to IBM's site, the 760XL has a built-in 800x600 screen
with 65536 colors, but supports external displays up to 1024x768 w/256
colors.  I think I may have set default to 1024x768, which may be why
I'm experiencing these issues.
