[ltp] Thinkpad 600 and Select-a-base III ?

Has anyone gotten linux to work on a tp 600 w/ a select-a-base III ?
This this the one w/ pci slots, isa, many ports, oh, it has internal scsi
too.
I have tried both rh & debian w/ no success.
I'm not sure what the problem is...
