[ltp].... Thinkpad 600x and printing?

Missed to mention that the parport_pc and lp modules are never present
after boot. They appear in lsmod output only when I force them with
modprobe but again to no effect. Simply no signal or ascii text is printed
and also the configuration tool yast does not see a parport.
