Both of those terms mean the same thing for the 770.  This page calls
it a hard drive shell and lists it for $79:

You might be able to order one from IBM using FRU part number 11J8942.
I found that part number on this page:

I found one at a local shop called "Mr. Notebook" in Austin, TX, but I
think that was a fluke.
