[ltp] Thinkpad 600E bios memory detection problem

I have an IBM thinkpad 600E with 160M memory installed. Recently it developed
a little problem. That is occasionally the BIOS will only detect 96M memory, I have
to turn off and on the power serveral times until it detects the right amount
memory. Is this a well known problem? Is there a fix for it?
