[ltp] self-made external battery for laptops project

Okay maybe I'm missing the obvious.  It seems the cheapest solution for
a car or 12V supply is to get an DC->AC inverter for $20 (okay $25 at
Wal-Mart) and plug the normal laptop adapter into that.  It's what I do.  
Maybe it's not as fun to make but it works.
