Curious - the usage of SDL is what is causing mplayer to not function.  W=
hen I=20
use 'mplayer -vo x11' I am good to go, even if I cannot rescale the graph=
ics.

I got xine to work by using the XShm video driver ('xine -V XShm').  This=
 way=20
you can scale, but with unacceptable results.

I'll try mucking about with my depth settings and report back if I am=20
successful!
