[ltp] Crash on resume

Thanks for that. I wish I had some ideas! Can anyone at least rule out
any of the ideas below? Otherwise, I'll upgrade to Mdk 8.0 when it comes
out in a week or 2. That said, I've had this problem, with varying
degrees of frequency with 8.0 and 8.1.
