a virtual serial port /dev/ttyS15, which you can link as your modem
device:
# ln -s /dev/ttyS15 /dev/modem
Also, you can try using minicom, use CTRL-A-O (IIRC) to get to
configuratio, choose serial port setup, and change it to /dev/ttyS15 or
/dev/modem, the save the config, and CTRL-A-M to initialize the modem,
then try an 'AT', and you should get an 'OK' back. If so, you are in
business. Fire up Mandrake control center (or kppp) to configure an
internet connection.
