[ltp] network and audio probs

Hi all,
         I am installing RedHat 7.1 on my IBM thinkpad 600E .  I am
having problems with the laptop's network and audio functionality.

I am unable to play any sound at all and the network problem is that I
am able ping other m/cs from my laptop but I get no replies to ping from
other m/cs to the laptop.

Any help is welcome.
