Hi everyone,

Thanks for the initial round of assistance. Unfortunately even using others'
XF86Config files still does not solve the problem. Which raises some
questions:

1) Is anyone out there with higher-than 1024x768 resolution using the stock
RH8 RPMs?
2) Is there anywhere beyond XF86Config that I should look?

Bizarre, I used a contributed XF86Config - which works - but xvidtune -next
only takes me to 1024x768. When I specify something beyond that as the only
option in XF86Config, I still get 1024x768.

Questions? Comments? Bueller?

I just got in on this thread at last minute so I don't know what adapter the t30 has, but my t23 has
the S3 SuperSavage Ix/mx and RH8 did not detect properly either.

I have NOT had a chance to put in Tim Roberts driver BUT , I did go back and use
Xconfigurator and at the top, selected OTHER and then selected VESA which i noticed
RH is using now instead of the FBDEV driver - so I got 1400*1050 resolution - depth 16 - but
it probably is not using the hardware as efficently as Tim's driver does.
