I use my laptop as a desktop machine (A31p with RH7.3), so leave it on
all the time. At some point yesterday wireless died (Orinoco Gold Card).
I can't determine what happened. The machine reset and didn't come up
from boot, dieing at the start of pcmcia services with the message:
Starting pcmcia: Yenta IRQ list 06b8, PCI irq11
Socket status:30000006
Yenta IRQ list 06b8, PCI irq11
Socket status:30000006
and then it hangs.
The machine comes up ok with the boot disk.
Does anyone have an idea of where to look for what got corrupted?
thanks, Bill
