[ltp] alsa driver build failior ??

All,

The system is a 600e running RH 7.3.

Attempts to build ALSA 0.9 rc3 result in the following errrors:

several examples of
"warning: excess elements in struct initializer"

these are followed by
"dereferencing pointer to incomplete type"

and finally
"from incompatible pointer type"
make[1]: *** [als100.o] Error 1

This is repeatable.

Does ALSA work on a 600e and RH 7.3?
What caused the errors on the als100 build?
How should the system be set up to build ALSA?
