Hello again,
I've tried everyones suggestions to get sound working and nothing is =
working..
I try booting in windows 98, and using ps2 to configure my sound device =
for linux
but for some reason if a do a shutdown or reboot, at the thinkpad splash =
screen I hear two beeps, and the machine reboots itself, this is only =
when I come from win98.
I am reverting to using PNP so I can at least attempt to configure my =
soundcard in linux..
I recently upgraded to redhat 8.0
These are my system specs
Thinkpad 600E=20
228 MB Ram
400Mhz
10Gb HD
3com 359cs Ethernet
Cs4232 <--- my worst nightmare
my question this time would be whats the best method to get PNP into =
redhat's stock 2.4.18-14 kernel
or should I just completely download a newer kernel and compile it in ?
Thanks.
