[ltp] sound on 600e

Get the specs on the sound card at
ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/pccbbs/mobiles/600tech.pdf.  Login as root and run
sndconfig command.  The rest is easy.  Let me know if this helps.

I am running RH 7.3 on a 600e and am unable to get sound to work
reliably. Sound works under Win98 so the H/W and BIOS are probably ok.
Attempts to run sound applications seem to start ok but end with a
device unavailable or busy message.

I have also tried independently to install ALSA 0.9 rc3. Has anyone had
success with .9? Is there a step by step howto?
