I bought my two 600 on E-bay also.  I just bought a "new" battery thru
E-bay.  Seems to work ok.  In my research, Yahoo turned up several real
dealers selling batteries.  The price difference was relatively small -- $20
to $30.  I won my battery inadvertently -- somebody was supposed to outbid
me.  But I think it will work out ok.
