man XF86Config-4, search for "Virtual". Other Method: drop the
1600x1200 out of out Modes-Line.

With my A30 I was able to use Xinerama with a CRT connected to the VGA
out, but only with both screens at the same resulution. However, I
could tell X to use a lower resolution than the one on the LCD,
resulting in full screen display on the CRT and black borders on the
LCD.
