I used curl -- my luck was very hit or miss.  It took me about three
days of randomly initiating and re-initiating the
connection. Sometimes I would occasionally get a few Mbytes and it
would stop dead.  Sometimes though I would get a stream that came over
at a steady 30 or 40 Mb/s for hours.

One thing if you get the "not supporting byte ranges" error I believe
this indicates that the file has been shuffled out of the (very long)
url that you used with curl.  These very long URL's are temporary which
means that when the connection dies you probably need to go back to
RHN to get a different URL the iso.  I do not know of any short cut 
around this other than reloading the RHN software page on the browser.

Hopefully in a few days the ISOs will be available at other sites
and the crunch will calm down.....
