Go to the control center and install the package pcmcia-cs. Then, as 
superuser, edit the file /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia to look like:

PCIC=yenta-socket
PCMCIA=yes

 Reboot and it should be working. I use kppp (which you might also have 
to install) to connect. Nelson
