Is it really gone to sleep, or is just the display that gets blanked?
XFree86 on T30s seems not to recover nicely from the hardware display
blanking. Got into the BIOS settings and disable all the screen
blanking, suspending, and other options (make sure you scroll down on
the lists of options, there are some options hidden down there). I
haven't had any problems since I disabled those options.
