See, that's just plain not true. You're lying. I don't like it
when hardware vendors lie to me.
But I'll stop being acrimonious if you let me install a BIOS that
doesn't have this silly warning.
We can prove quite easily that the card can work by simply installing
it during hibernation as someone else posted, and other vendors don't
have this issue, and at least one of the cards that IBM supports isn't
even made by IBM, so it's not because it doesn't work.
And if I fry my motherboard by my own mistakes, IBM won't honour the
warranty anyways (nor should they!) so that's not the issue.
It's IBM not wanting to support open source software on anything
short of a mainframe.
